Professionally trained tutors provide quality drama tuition through weekly classes and performance opportunities. For kids and teens there are options for whole school productions such as Pantomime, and holiday workshops in disciplines such as Acting for Screen.

For young adults, a senior performance group and senior ensemble focus on performance for the local community, while classes and optional individual tuition prepares them for HSC Drama Individual Projects and performance careers.

    Performance Opportunities

At The Art Umbrella our goal is to develop and nurture the talent of each of our students. We value the importance of providing students with the opportunity and challenge of performance in a professional environment with theatrical lighting, sound and staging elements. To that end, all of our programs have integrated into them major projects that are showcased at the Mid-Year and End of Year Performance days. Class projects provide opportunities for students to perform in a range of theatrical forms and styles in both script and playbuilt performance. The school also provides our students with the opportunity to undertake extension work leading to Performance day where the student rehearses and realises an individual performance piece.

The annual Pantomime production is an extra-curricular opportunity available to students aged 9 and upwards who are enrolled in regular classes at the studio. Students rehearse throughout Terms 2 and 3 for a production run in the first week of the September School Holidays. The pantomime is a wonderful opportunity for students to extend their skills base and experience though involvement in a significant production involving professional lighting, audio, costumes and vision with students of varying ages from other classes.
